HOCPY Ghana Supports Girls at Bonyanto M.A JHS with sanitary pads

The Hope for Children, Power for the Youth Ghana (HOCPY Ghana) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting menstrual health and hygiene among schoolgirls through a generous donation of sanitary pads to pupils of Bonyanto M/A Primary School in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.

The donation, made on behalf of HOCPY Ghana’s Executive Director by Mr. Wahab, Assembly Member for the Bonyanto Electoral Area, is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to end period shame, promote personal hygiene, and reduce school absenteeism among girls during menstruation.

According to HOCPY Ghana, many girls in rural communities face challenges accessing sanitary products, which often leads to missed school days and loss of confidence. The initiative aims to restore dignity and ensure that every girl can manage her period safely and confidently.

“At HOCPY Ghana, we believe that no girl should miss school because of her period. This small act can make a big difference in helping young girls stay in school and pursue their dreams,” the Executive Director stated.

The organization expressed appreciation to supporters and community members who contributed to making the donation possible and encouraged continued partnerships to reach more schools and communities.

“We are proud to stand with our young girls and ensure they have the support and resources they need to thrive. To all who supported this effort, we say thank you and we will knock at your doors for more,” she  added.

Through initiatives like this, HOCPY Ghana continues to champion girls’ education, health, and dignity, ensuring that every child, regardless of gender or background has an equal opportunity to succeed.
